Description
The role of Accounts Assistant is to perform daily accounting tasks to support the Finance team. You will help ensure that all the Finance processes run smoothly & efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Entering financial transactions
- Reconciling invoices & identifying discrepancies
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing customer invoices and managing accounts receivable
- Preparing payments and managing accounts payable
- Preparing & entering journals into the Finance system
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
- Review & submit payroll documents
- Assist with annual audits
- Support NYC and NZ finance teams in financial inputs
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in an Accounts Assistant role or similar
- Confidence in dealing with suppliers and clients (by telephone and email) regarding accounts payable and receivable
- Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Good maths skills
- Strong Excel experience
- Experience with standard accounting software (Xero is desirable)
- Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
