Accounts Assistant - London

Description

The role of Accounts Assistant is to perform daily accounting tasks to support the Finance team. You will help ensure that all the Finance processes run smoothly & efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Entering financial transactions
  • Reconciling invoices & identifying discrepancies
  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparing customer invoices and managing accounts receivable
  • Preparing payments and managing accounts payable
  • Preparing & entering journals into the Finance system
  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
  • Review & submit payroll documents
  • Assist with annual audits
  • Support NYC and NZ finance teams in financial inputs

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in an Accounts Assistant role or similar
  • Confidence in dealing with suppliers and clients (by telephone and email) regarding accounts payable and receivable
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
  • Good maths skills
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Experience with standard accounting software (Xero is desirable)
  • Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
