IT Technician - London

The role of the IT Technician is to install, maintain and optimise computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality and engagement. This is a critical role in a business who are at the forefront of using emerging, immersive technologies to create photorealistic, digital marketing content.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to users in a timely and efficient manner

• Assist with the management of Active Directory ang Group Policies
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on local computers and laptops
• Manage servers and virtual machines to ensure that they are running smoothly
• Manage license servers and software updates to ensure all software is up to date
• Manage the hardware register
• Implement & maintain Security Policies & Protocols to ensure IT infrastructure is secure
• Support the CTO in role out of new policies, systems and infrastructure across offices
• Remote support for global offices
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
• Check Computer hardware
• Install and configure appropriate software
• Develop & maintain local networks in ways that optimise performance
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software & hardware
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies
• Experience of managing servers, virtual machines and license servers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent diagnostic, trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Outstanding organisational and time-management skills
• Good knowledge of internet security & data privacy principles
• A high degree of attention to detail is essential

• Desirable to have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in software development and/or production studio environments beneficial
• IT Technician certification an advantage (eg. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified)
