CGIs – Services
CGI’s or Computer Generated Images form the base for most projects. With over two decades of experience in image creation, this most central part of our workflow continues to inform much of the content developed for use across many mediums and platforms.
Entirely computer generated environments enable the ultimate flexibility in lighting, composition and atmospherics within a 3d scene. All of our projects begin life in this state even if photographic compositing is later required. Many internal or inward looking schemes benefit from this workflow as well a rural projects where entire landscapes can be recreated and manipulated to convey the required message precisely for any given project narrative. This approach to CGI’s is a distinguishing factor which has set The Boundary apart in the industry for many years.
Common in urban environments, photomontage is a combined process of photography and computer rendering whereby 3d renders are composited into photographs with precisely matched lighting and perspective. High end professional photography is a key aspect of this workflow as the initial photography can constitute a significant part or indeed the majority of the image. The Boundary provides professional photographic services fully integrated in the overall image production services for all projects. (Read More: See photography services section) This workflow is typical for external images and ‘hero’ renders capturing the entire building project also for film see below...
CG Environment with backplate
Typical for interior scenes, this workflow is all about the view. The scene is developed in a full CG environment as above to establish the requirements of the photography, the photography is then shot and composited into the rendered image. As above, an integrated approach to this workflow is key to the success of the final image.
